Self-promotion is a valuable skill for physicians looking to advance their careers. But, from lack of training to not wanting to be perceived as “aggressive,” there are many barriers to making self-prmotion a regular practice. This dilemma led to the coining of the term “graceful self-promotion” (GSP), a method of making one’s accomplishments and abilities visible with tact and humility.
